THE SHOALS. Located in northwest Alabama and composed of four cities, Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield and Tuscumbia. The two counties which comprise the Shoals, Lauderdale and Colbert, contain a population of about 136,000. Because of its location, the Shoals is within easy driving distance of Memphis, Nashville and Birmingham.
